BaseDiff Desktop

Cross-platform application for database schema comparison and SQL script generation.

Features Overview

BaseDiff provides native support for major database systems:

Database	Authentication Types
MS SQL Server	Windows Authentication, SQL Server Authentication
PostgreSQL	Standard password-based
MySQL	Standard password-based
Oracle	SID and Service Name support
SQLite	Local file-based

BaseDiff is built on modern technology for maximum performance:

Runtime: .NET 10 (Avalonia-based UI)
OS: Windows, Linux (64-bit), macOS (Intel/Apple Silicon)
Linux dependencies: Clipboard support may require wl-copy, xclip, or xsel.

Follow these steps to get BaseDiff running on your machine:

Obtain a published build for your target operating system (Windows, Linux, or macOS).
Run the desktop executable:
- Windows: BaseDiff.exe
- Linux / macOS: BaseDiff (ensure execution permissions are set).
Create or open a comparison project (.bdfJson) and configure your connections.

Tip: On Windows, you can associate .bdfJson files with the BaseDiff executable to open projects directly by double-clicking.
